Spectrum IJHORST SIDETABLES

De IJhorst side tables were designed in 1953 by artist Constant Nieuwenhuys. The slender base and simple design language make this a timeless piece, loved by lovers of vintage design. De IJhorst tables are characteristic of a turning point in Constant’s oeuvre, they mark the transition from his Cobra years to the start of his New Babylon project.
The black epoxy frame (RAL 9005) of the tables is made from a construction of thin wire steel that elegantly shows the pressure and tensile forces. The characteristic frame fits perfectly into the spirit of the 1950s and still looks modern. Designers like Charles & Ray Eames and an artist like Naum Gabo used a similarly clear interplay of lines in which construction and aesthetics coincide.
The top is available in American walnut veneer or matt laminate (ruby red, liver and black). The largest format (L) is also available in clear or smoked glass and with a stainless steel base.
