Spectrum SZ 63 ARMCHAIR
By Martin Visser
True classics are timeless, so is the iconic SZ 63 armchair by Martin Visser from 1960. With its minimalist and sleek design, the SZ 63 armchair is a typical Visser design and a personification of his form-follows-function design philosophy.
Original SZ 63 armchairs by Visser from 1960
Martin Visser, as art director of Spectrum in the 1950s and 1960s, focused on developing accessible furniture with as little material as possible and as simple as possible shapes. During his 20 years as head of the design department, he created high-profile designs, including the BR 02 sofa bed, armchairs SZ 01 and SZ 02 and dining chair SE 69.
The SZ 63 has a square frame in black epoxy with solid wenge armrests, just like the original version from 1960. For the upholstery you can choose from various leathers and fabrics. Like all designs from our collection, the SZ 63 is produced in the Netherlands according to the highest production standards.
